Since its introduction in 2018, the Sandhurst Mug of History has consistently been a top seller for the Sandhurst Trust Shop.
This British made bone china mug has nine images and thirteen words connected to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst including Old College, New College, Royal Memorial Chapel and Adjutant on the steps.
Designed and made exclusively for the Sandhurst Trust by Susan Rose in Stoke on Trent, the home of UK china manufacturing.
The mugs are finished off in gold, platinum, red or blue, all hand painted by the very skilled Andy.
A Gift of Recognition
Since 2021, the Sandhurst Trust has produced personalised version of these mugs for a select number of Academy staff.
The recipients are nominated by the Sandhurst Trust staff for the support they give to the team. Over the years mugs have been presented to Academy Chaplains’, Aramark Staff, Academy staff and Trustees.There is always a little anticipation at the end of term to see who is the chosen one!
We thought our followers would like to see how these special mugs are made, so our Marketing Manager visited the factory in Stoke to follow the mugs’ journey from design, through production to the hand painting finishing touches.
