Booking a public history tour
Public History Tours can be booked via the link below, and are currently available to book on the following dates:
Please follow this link to complete the online booking enquiry form - Tour Enquiry Form
If you have any issues with completing the enquiry form, please email Sheenie Chant - tours@sandhursttrust.org
All adult guests are required to bring photographic ID with them on the day. This can be a passport/driving license/bus pass - if it has a name and photograph this will suffice. Guests may be asked at any point during their visit to produce their ID, failure to do so could result in guests being removed from the Academy.
The Academy is a working military establishment and as such, any military activity will take priority over tours.
Whilst we make every effort to deconflict with the Academy diary, there may be rare occasions where the tour programme may be adapted, postponed or cancelled due to Academy activities taking place.
Booking group or private history tours
Group history tours (U3A, WI, Arts Societies, PROBUS, etc) and private historical tours for individuals and small groups at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst can be arranged via the enquiry form.
Please contact Sheenie Chant if you have any issues with the form - tours@sandhursttrust.org
Please be advised that as a working Military Academy these tours need to be deconflicted with core military activity and MUST be booked in advance with at least 4 weeks notice.
In order to deconflict as much as possible with Academy and military activity, all visits must be approved by Academy Headquarters and therefore we ask you to suggest three dates that would work for you group in order of preference. These dates will then be submitted to the Academy for approval, which can take 2-4 weeks (dependent on Academy activity).

Trip Advisor Review
April 2024
As 6 friends we booked a tour and thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon touring the 212 years history of RMAS. Our guide, Lloyd, was so welcoming and gave us such wonderful insight into this incredible institution with several personal anecdotes that you won’t find in a book.
Exceptional value for money.

"Everyone in our group really enjoyed the visit, helped hugely by our knowledgeable and entertaining guide, David, who managed to give us just the right mixture of history and entertaining anecdotes! We were all impressed by the world beyond the gate on the A30 and I heard one of our group say "This is even more impressive than I expected!"
It was fascinating to hear how things have changed since the days when young gentlemen could simply buy a commission and then to hear about the training which recruits receive today.
Our thanks to you for making all the arrangements for us and our thanks to David for being such an informative and interesting guide."
