Sandhurst Trust Members' Evening Highlighting Alumni Achievements

Events

On Friday the 2nd of August, the Sandhurst Trust hosted a memorable Talk, Reception & Supper event for its members.

The evening began with a captivating talk by the author and Sandhurst Trust director Vaughan Kent-Payne, who highlighted the stories of some of the distinguished alumni featured in the book “They Also Served.

His narrative highlighted not only the professional accomplishments of these alumni but also their personal journeys, emphasizing the diverse paths that Sandhurst alumni have taken.

Following the talk guests enjoyed drinks on the historic Old College steps. The iconic backdrop of Old College, combined with the warm summer evening, created a perfect setting for socializing and taking photos.

The evening continued as guests moved to the Indian Army Memorial Room, where they enjoyed a traditional army curry supper.

An unexpected highlight of the evening was the opportunity for guests to witness a parade rehearsal in preparation for the Sovereign’s Parade, scheduled for Friday 9th August . This glimpse into the meticulous preparations for one of Sandhurst's most prestigious events was a special treat, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the discipline and precision that define the Academy.

The Sandhurst Trust run member only events including this Summer Talk, Reception and Supper and the annual Carol Concert.

Becoming a Sandhurst Trust member offers a range of alumni benefits in addition to these events including alumni networking and special access to photographs and resources.
