To mark the event of the 70th Anniversary of their commissioning, the Sandhurst Trust would like to invite members of Intakes 14, 15 & 16 (plus a guest) to join us for an informal visit on Thursday 15th May 2025. The occasion will provide the opportunity for a trip down memory lane and the chance to reminisce with some of your fellow Cadets.
The event will take place in Old College and the outline programme is as follows:
11:00 - 11:30 Arrival - coffee, tea & biscuits.
11:30 - 13:00 There will be the opportunity to catch up with fellow Cadets, view photos and memorabilia and visit the History Room (museum) in Old College.
13:00 Buffet lunch - after lunch you may wish to visit the Royal Memorial Chapel or spend more time chatting and viewing photos.
14:00 - 14:30 Guests depart
Please note that there are several aspects to consider which may influence your attendance:
Access to Old College - There is ramp access to Old College.
Uneven Floors - Old College floors comprise the original flagstones laid in 1812, these are now very uneven and require careful navigation by those with limited mobility.
Wheelchairs - If you require use of a wheelchair you would need to bring your own with you, we don’t have any available to loan.
Access to other buildings/your cadet bedroom - Due to the working nature of the Academy, with 3 full intakes of cadets in residence, it is not possible to access any of the buildings with the exception of the ground floor of Old College and the Chapel. You would of course be very welcome to take a drive around the grounds of the Academy on your way in or when you depart.
Dress - Suit or blazer.
If you would like to join us on Thursday 15th May 2025 you are very welcome to bring a guest with you. Please email membership@sandhursttrust.org to obtain an application form.
